Dr. Andy Dircksen started his undergraduate in Fort Wayne, Purdue University then transferred to Purdue University, West Lafayette for his last year and 4 years of veterinary school, graduating in 1983. Dr. Andy worked in a LaGrange clinic after finishing school for 3 years. Then, Dr. Andy and Dr. Dave opened the Animal Care Clinic of Auburn. Dr. Andy has 2 children, one a very talented artist and the other who is a veterinarian in Buffalo, New York. Dr. Andy enjoys his grandchildren, being outdoors, and skiing.

Dr. Dave Dettmer is an alumni from Purdue University of the class of 1983 where he received his doctorate of Veterinary medicine. Dr. Dave has been practicing for some time, but it all started in the 3rd grade for, when he decided he wanted to be a veterinarian. Dr. Dave enjoys working with the staff, meeting, and socializing with the clients. Dr. Dave is married to his wife, Carol, and they have 2 children together. A daughter who is a nurse and a son who is a lawyer. In his spare time, he likes to be outdoors and enjoys nature.

Dr. Kyle Yarde is a Garrett High school graduate and continued his education at Purdue University receiving his doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2014. He lives locally on his family farm in Garrett IN. He is married to his wife, Laura, and together they have 3 children. Dr. Kyle started a food animal veterinary clinic and shares his time between the two clinics. He is very active in the community volunteering his extra time with 4-H committees and public speaking engagements. If extra time permits in his day, he enjoys being with his family, playing pickleball and watching movies.

Dr. Nicole Schroeder is a 2015 DeKalb High School graduate. She attended Purdue University receiving a bachelor’s degree in biology with an Animal Science minor in 2019 and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2023. Dr. Nicole is excited to be returning to her hometown and beginning working in the community she considers home. Dr. Nicole also works 1 day a week at Yarde Veterinary Services. She is married to her husband, Oliver and has pets named Naya, Echo and Felix. In her spare time, she enjoys eating ice cream, reading, outdoor activities and spending time with her family.

Dr. Brittany Conkey is from Hicksville, Ohio. She attended Finlay University for her undergraduate and then went onto Ohio State University to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2021. She lives on a farm where she grows row crops and has a show cattle herd. Dr. Conkey also helps work at Yarde Veterinary Services and enjoys all aspects of the veterinary profession. When she isn’t working, she enjoys spending time outside, horseback riding and time with family and friends.

She has been in the veterinary profession for over 10 years. With her experience, she can pretty much do everything! She assists the doctors and vet techs in surgeries, lab, and pharmacy. She oversees ordering and office staff. She is a volunteer firefighter and a 1st responder

with the Corunna fire station. She is CPR and 1st aid certified. She is active in her community and part of the DeKalb Horsemen’s Association. She and her husband live on a farm with many pets and 3 daughters.

She graduated from Purdue University in 2014. She has worked in a variety of large farm animal and small animal hospitals. She joined our team in 2017. She helps all over our clinic from surgeries, answer phones, pharmacy technician, restraining animals and helping assist the doctors. She lives on a small farm where she and her husband raise a show sheep flock. Katie also has talents in Christmas tree decorating, flower décor at Ruby Moon floral and enjoys crafting.

She is registered veterinary technician who joined our team in 2020. She helps with surgeries, handling patients and client interactions. Her and husband have a family farm where they have row crops. She enjoys baking, crafting, and helping on the farm.

She has been part of our team since 2019. She handles the front office, and you will be greeted with her friendly smile. She helps schedule and answering phone calls and questions.

She is a veterinarian assistant who helps the office run smoothly. She helps in surgeries, answers the phones, in the pharmacy and around the clinic. She is married to her husband Cory and they have pets and horses.

Dana works in the clinic helping in all aspects from scheduling, assisting in surgeries, pharmacy, and dental appointments. She enjoys the outdoors and her pets.

Taylor helps in the front office receiving phone calls, scheduling, and pharmacy. She helps anyone who may need an extra hand. She enjoys spending time with her family, friends and children.

Front desk- She helps in the front office as a receptionist. She handles all the dog food ordering and scheduling. She loves her grandchildren and spending time making crafts and with her pets.
